Summary

Zaprionus bogoriensis is a member of the Anaprionus subgenus.

Zaprionus bogoriensis is attracted to fruits and can be reared in the laboratory on normal Drosophila medium. Little is known about this species.

The genome of this species is in the process of being sequenced as part of the "Adaptation to climate change research project", which is funded by a Science & Industry Endowment Fund (SIEF) Research grant.
